TCA Nor-Cal Division 2013 Spring Cal-Stewart Meet

TCA Northern California Division will hold it's annual Spring Cal-Stewart meet on TCA Nor-Cal Division Spring Cal-Stewart MeetMarch 8, 9 and 10, 2013, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, halls C and D, 5101 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, California 95054. This Meet has traditionally been open to all current TCA and TTOS members on Friday (set-up only), Saturday and Sunday. In 2013 the Meet will be open to the public on Saturday & Sunday. The highlight of this meet will be the Saturday evening Banquet, with fine food and with live entertainment. The Silent Auction will be held concurrently with the Banquet. As in past Nor-Cal Cal-Stewart Meets, the doors to the trading hall will open at 9:00 AM on Saturday morning and close at 5:00 PM. There will be the usual Saturday afternoon Auction, and toy train Clinics are also planned for Saturday & Sunday. The trading hall will be open on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Two day admission is $40, or is free to Northern California TCA Division members, as part of their annual membership fee. After 11:00 AM Saturday, general admission drops to $20, and Sunday only admission is $10. Kids 17 and under may enter for free if accompanined by an adult. Parking at the convention center is free. TCA Eastern Division 2013 Spring York Meet

TCA Eastern Division will hold it's Spring York meet on April 18-20, 2013. This TCA Eastern Division York Meetmeet is held 2 times annually at the York, PA Interstate fairgrounds, 334 Carlisle Avenue, which is located approximately 20 miles South of Harrisburg, PA. It is the largest toy train meet in the world. There will be 9 different trading halls filled with sellers from all over the country. All halls open for trading on Thursday at 12:00 noon. Saturday trading ends at 2:00 PM. There will also be several collector's group meetings, including a Marx Show & Tell, a 'OO' Gauge meeting, a Gilbert Get-together, an Ives & Litho Group meeting and a Cast Iron Floor Train get-together. You must be a member of TCA in good standing in order to register. Fullerton Railroad Days

Fullerton Railroad DaysThis event features railroad exhibits, including full scale operating classic and modern day locomotives and running gear, model railroad exhibits, including operating layouts in multiple gauges, and food and refreshments. Short rail excursions can be taken from the Fullerton Depot during the event. The dates for the 2013 event are not set as of yet, but traditionlly it is held the first wekend in May. The location is in the Metrolink parking lot adjacent to the Amtrak/Metrolink Station at the Fullerton Santa Fe Depot 124 East Santa Fe Avenue, in Fullerton, CA 92832 (Corner of Pomona Ave. and Santa Fe St.) in beautiful Downtown Fullerton. 2013 National Train Day Celebration

Amtrak Celebrates 40 years Union Station in Los Angeles at 800 North Alameda Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 will be the local site for National Train Day celebrations in May 2013. There will be a California Missions Exhibit, East Meets West Exhibit, State Partnership Display, Amtrak High-Speed Rail Display, K-9 Unit Demonstrations, Amtrak: Dining the Rail Way, Train Equipment Displays, Model Train Displays, Amtrak Display, AmtraKids Depot, and Live Entertainment. Admission is free. $6 Parking is available at E. Cesar Chavez and N. Vignes Streets in the MTA Lot. Get up close and personal with Amtrak equipment to experience first-hand the modern amenities and accommodations offered by passenger rail. Then, take a peek at how passengers traveled in generations past by touring a variety of historic train cars and privately owned luxury coaches. Commuter and freight equipment displays (featured in select markets) will highlight today's modern rail passenger services and how "green" locomotives are transforming the nation's freight fleet. The 2013 TCA National Convention

TCA 2013 National Convention The 59th Annual TCA National Convention will be in St. Louis, Mo, hosted by the Ozark Division, June 22 through June 30th, 2013. A full week of events is planned. The Millenium Hotel will serve as the host hotel. The 2013 TCA National convention will include multiple tours of museums and railroads, home layout tours, table trading in a spacious hall, operating layouts from all over the country, a banquet, auctions, raffles, manufacturer displays, kids events, a golf tournament, a welcome party, and a membership meeting. 2013 Cal-Stewart Meet

T.T.O.S. Southwest Division Cal-Stewart meetThe 40th Annual Cal-Stewart meet will be in November 2013, in Southern California at the Ontario Convention Center, 2000 E. Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA 91764. This is the largest toy train meet west of the Colorado Rockies. There will be table sales with trains and accessories of all makes and gauges, raffles, a large display of antique model trains, multiple auctions, several operating layouts, train races, a demolition derby, and a Friday night cocktail reception. This meet is open to all interested toy train collectors for all events, all three days.
